A powerful message in surreal images
The music video for “Tutti esauriti”, the latest single by Il Sogno della Crisalide, is now available on YouTube. Directed by Cristiano Pedrocco and Lorenzo Vanzan, with executive production by Giancarlo Bornigia and Gallia Music, this visual work is a journey of irony and societal critique. Through surreal and symbolic settings, it portrays a society trapped in digital alienation, obsessive perfectionism, and the façade of happy selfies.
With a vibrant and grotesque aesthetic, the video takes its characters through a dance between collective chaos and individual loneliness, emphasizing the contrast between social performance and inner emptiness. “Tutti esauriti” captures the modern world’s relentless demands, revealing a shared sense of exhaustion.
“Indietro tutti”: a journey through past and present
The video is a part of the broader narrative offered by “Indietro tutti”, the band’s new album produced by Manuele Fusaroli and Michele Guberti for Gallia Music. Featuring nine tracks, the album blends vintage-inspired Italian sounds with influences from 1980s electronics, 1990s rock, and even doo-wop roots from the 1950s.
The album critically addresses nostalgia for the past, questioning how it can sometimes become a trap. “It’s not just about recalling the past,” says Il Sogno della Crisalide, “but about reflecting on a present that often loses itself in longing for the ‘good old days,’ neglecting the importance of building authentic connections.”
Technology and alienation: a timely theme
Through profound and reference-filled lyrics, the album explores the paradox of technology promising instant connections, while often leaving us more disconnected. In a world where everything seems just a click away, genuine human contact becomes rarer, leading to a profound sense of loneliness.
“Indietro tutti” calls for reflection on our relationship with the past, technology, and the present, suggesting a return to simplicity and authenticity as a remedy to modern disconnection.
