Chieti, March 6 – The future of Abruzzo’s SMEs lies in Transition 5.0, a path combining digital innovationenergy sustainability, and human capital development. These themes took center stage at the “Transition 5.0 – Strategies and Tools for Growth” conference, organized by Confartigianato Chieti L’Aquila and Confidi Systema! at the Live Campus Dromedian in Chieti Scalo. The event featured local and national experts, aiming to provide concrete tools for the growth of regional businesses.

The conference: an opportunity for SMEs in Abruzzo

The event, sponsored by the Order of Chartered Accountants of Chieti and supported by Maw Spa, drew a large audience. After opening remarks by Camillo Saraullo, president of Confartigianato Chieti L’Aquila, and Michele Costanza, president of the Chieti Accountants Foundation, discussions moved into key topics led by prominent speakers.

Strategies for growth: insights from experts

The first speech was by Fabio Candeloro, Market & Digital Transformation Director at Agsm Aim Energia, who discussed renewable energy for an efficient and sustainable model. Next, Andrea Scalia, Head of Innovation at Confartigianato Imprese, presented the role of the Gate4Innovation Digital Innovation Hub in supporting Abruzzo’s SMEs.

A focus on green and digital transition measures was delivered via video by Marco Calabrò, Head of the Technical Secretariat of the Minister for Enterprises and Made in Italy. Finally, Silvia D’Angelo, People Career Director at Maw Spa, analyzed the sustainable development of human capital in local businesses.

Addressing future challenges

In the second part of the event, the panel discussion “For Business Growth” featured Andrea Bianchi, General Director of Confidi Systema!Giuseppe La Boria, Regional Director of Bper BancaFrancesco Paolo Acito, Deputy General Director of Banca Popolare Puglia e Basilicata, and Giacomo D’Ignazio, President of Fira Abruzzo. Moderated by journalist Luca Telese, the discussion explored financial tools and strategies for SMEs.

The event marked a crucial moment for local businesses. Camillo Saraullo emphasized that Transition 5.0 is no longer optional but essential for staying competitive. Technologysustainability, and economic growth must go hand in hand for SMEs to thrive.
