A devastating accident shocks Iglesias
The city of Iglesias woke up to tragic news: two young teenagers, Riccardo Lai and Aurora Marcia, lost their lives in a severe road accident. The crash, which occurred at 1 AM on state road 130, involved a scooter carrying the two and a car.
Emergency response was swift but futile
Despite the rapid intervention of paramedics, the medical team could only confirm the death of the two teenagers. The driver of the car, who was found uninjured, remained in a state of shock and was provided with immediate medical assistance.
Accident dynamics under investigation
The exact cause of the collision is still under investigation. Firefighters and law enforcement officers worked to secure the scene and carry out the necessary inspections. The accident occurred near the turnoff leading to Iglesias, a frequently traveled area.
Bright futures cut short
Riccardo and Aurora were students of the fourth A class at the Baudi di Vesme high school in Iglesias. Their teachers and classmates remember them as “model students.”
