Two new features make it easier for employers to request and monitor employee medical checks
New tools for employers
INPS has improved its medical check request system with two major features aimed at public and private employers:
- “Requests from medical certificates”, to request checks directly from uploaded sick leave documents;
- “Check request status”, to monitor processing outcomes in real-time.
How the updated request process works
The new workflow allows employers or authorized representatives to:
- Select the employer and request position;
- Submit a declaration of intent;
- Choose one or more medical certificates;
- Confirm employee data and sick pay entitlement;
- Set visit details (date, time slot);
- Review and submit.
You can also edit or delete requests individually during the process.
Real-time monitoring
With “Check request status”, employers can:
- track each request with protocol numbers;
- verify processing outcomes;
- take timely action if issues arise.
Boosting public service digitalization
These upgrades are part of INPS’s digital transition strategy, making health-related absence management faster, easier and more transparent.
