Florence – The Meyer Foundation is back with the Runforlove, the Valentine’s Day solidarity run, happening from February 14 to 16, 2025. Proceeds from the event will support the Play Therapy project, bringing joy and relief to the hospital’s young patients through play, music, and animal-assisted activities.
Run anywhere, with anyone
The Runforlove 2025 remains a virtual event, allowing participants to choose where, when, and with whom to run the 9 kilometers. The only rule? Run in pairs, celebrating all forms of love—between friends, family members, colleagues, or partners.
This edition features a new highlight: the fluorescent yellow technical t-shirt, provided by Guess Foundation, which can be ordered with an additional donation. You can also request a personalized Runformeyer neck warmer.
How to participate
Participation is easy:
- Each pair must run 9 kilometers, with 4.5 kilometers per runner.
- Partners can run together or separately, as long as they complete the distance by February 16, 2025.
Registrations close at 8 PM on February 16, with a minimum donation of €9 per person. For an extra €5, participants will receive the technical t-shirt delivered to their homes. Visit www.runformeyer.it for details and registration.
Rankings, awards, and selfies
The Runforlove 2025 will reward not only the fastest runners, but also groups with the highest number of participants. New this year are the “most connected couple” award for long-time friends or partners, and the “most experienced couple” award based on combined age.
To appear in the official rankings, runners need to upload a screenshot of their running time via the link sent by email. Results will be announced on February 17 on the official website and Facebook page. Participants can also submit selfies, which will be featured online.
Supporting Play Therapy
By joining Runforlove, you’ll contribute to the Play Therapy project, designed to ease the hospital experience for children. From pet therapy with adorable dogs to clowns in the wards, these activities bring joy to young patients and their families.
The hospital’s Ludobiblio provides a colorful space for games, reading, creative workshops, and performances. Meanwhile, the Meyermusica program uses music to create a soothing atmosphere, reducing stress and promoting well-being throughout the hospital.
In conclusion…
The Runforlove 2025 is more than a race; it’s an opportunity to make a difference. Every step helps brighten the lives of Meyer’s young patients. Don’t wait—sign up and be part of this heartwarming initiative.
