“La felicità: a comedy about love after “a certain age”
What does happiness really mean? This is the central theme of “La felicità” (Happiness) a play written by Eric Assous and directed by Gianfelice Imparato, on stage at Teatro Golden from December 5 to 15, 2024. Actors Gianfelice Imparato and Alessandra D’Ambrosio portray Alessandro and Luisa, two characters who humorously and deeply explore the challenges of mature love.
A story of love, lies, and unexpected twists
The plot unfolds after the protagonists spend a night together. Upon waking up, Alessandro and Luisa face crucial questions: will this breakfast mark the start of a lasting relationship or simply the end of a casual encounter?
Luisa, separated, and Alessandro, awaiting divorce and father of three daughters, navigate through lies, twists, and absurd moments. With a brilliant yet thoughtful tone, Eric Assous delves into love beyond a certain age, questioning whether happiness in a relationship is still achievable.
