In the evocative setting of Puglia, where history and art intertwine, a unique project has emerged, turning vulnerability into strength. At the Palazzo delle Arti Beltrani in Trani, a group of extraordinary women embarked on a journey of self-rediscovery through acting, guided by director and psychologist Giusy Marrone. This initiative, part of the “Renaissance” project, curated by Associazione Delle Arti Odv Ets in collaboration with Associazione I Colori dell’Anima, offered an opportunity to rediscover oneself and face life’s challenges with renewed awareness.
A journey through art and introspection
Over three weekends, 16 women participated in workshops exploring the therapeutic power of acting, creative writing, and improvisation. Using theatre techniques like Stanislavski’s method and non-verbal communication, they learned to transform deep emotions into tools for artistic expression.
This project was more than an artistic experience; it was a profound personal growth journey where participants confronted fears and emotional blocks, rediscovered their identity, and celebrated life’s beauty.
Giusy Marrone: the heart of the project
Giusy Marrone, a multifaceted figure in theatre and cinema, created an environment both welcoming and stimulating. Her ability to merge psychology and art made this journey not just educational but deeply transformative.
The final performance: a hymn to life
The project will culminate in the concluding performance, “Renaissance”, on Sunday, January 19, at 8:00 PM at Palazzo delle Arti Beltrani. The participants will bring to life performances inspired by dialogues and monologues from works like “Eat Pray Love” and “Like Crazy.” Each gesture and word will testify to a personal journey that speaks universally, celebrating resilience and the strength of the human spirit.
A universal message of hope
“Renaissance” is more than a theatrical project; it’s an invitation to believe in the power of art as a tool to overcome difficulties and rediscover oneself.
Tickets for the performance (€5) can be purchased at the Palazzo Beltrani box office or via VivaTicket.
