Targeted services to ensure safety in central and suburban areas
The State Police of Ferrara intensified their territorial control activities on Monday, December 2, and Tuesday, December 3. Focusing on sensitive areas such as the GAD district, the Station Square, Castellina Square, and several streets in the historic center, the operations involved the U.P.G.S.P. and patrols from the Emilia Romagna Crime Prevention Unit of Bologna. A total of 93 individuals were identified, including 31 with police records, and 13 vehicles were inspected.
Interventions for disputes and crimes in public venues
Police units intervened in two city venues following reports of disputes among patrons, which escalated into physical assaults and threats. Officers managed to restore calm and reported the offenders. Furthermore, the Chief of Police has announced that DACUR (Urban Ban) measures will be issued against the involved individuals.
Reports for aggravated theft in a commercial establishment
On Tuesday evening, police intervened in a store for an aggravated theft case. The perpetrators, two foreign citizens, were identified, taken to the police station, and charged with theft in concert.
Fines for public intoxication
During the operations, three individuals were caught in a state of public intoxication and administratively fined. This effort aligns with the Police’s ongoing commitment to ensuring urban decorum and public safety.
Future controls
The State Police announced that extraordinary controls will continue next week, extending to suburban areas and intensifying during the afternoon hours. The aim is to effectively combat crimes and provide greater peace of mind to the community.
