A historic festival for jazz lovers

Macerata Jazz, one of Italy’s longest-running and most prestigious jazz festivals, returns for its 55th edition. Founded in 1970 by Paolo Piangiarelli, this event has become a cornerstone for jazz enthusiasts. Organized by the Municipality of Macerata under the artistic direction of Daniele Massimi from Musicamdo Jazz, the festival benefits from collaborations with Marche Jazz Network, the I-Jazz Association, and support from MIC – Ministry of Culture, the Marche Region, and UNIMC – University of Macerata.

In addition to international stars, the festival enlivens the city center with roaming performances and a captivating photographic exhibition by Carlo Pieroni showcasing the history of jazz.

Paolo Fresu and Rita Marcotulli: a dialogue between artistic souls

On December 2 at 9:15 PM, Teatro Lauro Rossi will host an unmissable event: the concert of Paolo Fresu and Rita Marcotulli. This iconic Italian jazz duo will present a repertoire of rare sensitivity, blending acoustic and electronic sounds in an intimate and poetic musical journey.
