Lightning start sets the tone
Lazio found victory and confidence again with a clear 3-0 away win against Genoa. At Marassi, the Biancocelesti struck early: in the 4th minute Cancellieri scored after a perfect assist from Castellanos.
Second goal and full control
Castellanos then doubled the lead on 30 minutes, assisted by Marusic. Genoa’s Ellertson tried to threaten, but Provedel was alert.
VAR decision and final blow
In the second half, a penalty initially awarded to Genoa was revoked by VAR (no handball by Romagnoli). Soon after, in the 63rd minute, Zaccagni sealed the game with Lazio’s third goal.
Table situation
With this victory, Lazio move up to 6 points, level with Sassuolo. Genoa, meanwhile, suffer their third defeat and remain bottom on 2 points, tied with Pisa and Lecce.
