A partnership built on potential

The partnership with Team Roland was made possible through the vision of Ruben Rodrigo Contreras, general manager of the Swiss squad. Contreras recognized the great potential of the K2 Women Team, seeing it as an ambitious and evolving organization.

This synergy not only affirms the ambitions of the K2 Women Team but also strengthens its role as a prominent player in women’s cycling. The goal is clear: to grow by competing with the best teams in the World Tour.

New athletes and staff joining Team Roland

In 2025, Team Roland’s roster will feature two standout athletes from the K2 Women Team: Vittoria Ruffilli and Giulia Giuliani. Both born in 2002, they have already proven their skills in international competitions:

  • Vittoria Ruffilli, from Novara, is a climber with a triathlon background who excelled in races like the Tour de l’Ardèche.
  • Giulia Giuliani, from Pescara, is a strong all-rounder who has represented the Italian National Team in youth categories and shone in the Giro dell’Emilia.

Additionally, the K2 Women Team’s technical staff will contribute to Team Roland’s success. Gaetano Antonio Romano Velleca will join as a mechanic, while Nicole Fede, a former Gb Women Team athlete, will become one of the new masseuses.
