Established in 2003 in Brussels following an Italian initiative, CEDR brings together top executives from European road authorities to steer future mobility through a strategic, sustainable and integrated lens.

A European platform for infrastructure innovation

  • Benchmarking publications and best practices

The current plan, running from 2025 to 2027, emphasizes innovation, efficiency, and sustainability.

Bridging Italy with the EU’s mobility vision

“Italy’s participation in CEDR is crucial to sharing technical knowledge, aligning key mobility strategies with EU partners and influencing European transport policies,” said Claudio Andrea Gemme.

Anas ensures strong national representation in CEDR through active involvement of its senior officials and engineersacross working groups.

What does it mean for people and businesses?

  • Smooth and efficient mobility for end users
  • Enhanced road safety through cutting-edge technology
  • Optimized resource use via intelligent infrastructure

It also increases Italy’s chances to tap into EU infrastructure funding for key national projects.
