A technical failure disrupts online services
Early this morning, Intesa Sanpaolo customers faced a major outage that rendered the internet banking service and the banking app inaccessible. The issue caused significant inconveniences, with accounts locked and delays in processing salaries and pensions.
The bank’s response
Intesa Sanpaolo reported that the issue was identified early, and a resolution plan was immediately implemented. According to the bank, “the disruption does not affect all customers, only a portion of the accesses.” Technicians are actively working to fully restore service, with particular attention to resolving app-related issues.
Updates on pensions and salaries
Later in the day, Intesa Sanpaolo reassured customers in an official statement. The bank confirmed that “all pensions have been credited and accounted for with today’s date, December 2.” Additionally, no issues have been reported regarding the crediting of salaries, alleviating some of the concerns raised earlier.
A progressive resolution
Regarding access issues with the app, Intesa Sanpaolo stated that the difficulties are progressively being resolved. Full functionality of the online platform is expected to resume shortly.
