Confession and Arrest
A 36-year-old Moldovan caregiver has been arrested on charges of murder for the death of Fernando Monte, an 82-year-old man found dead in his home in Castrignano dei Greci, Salento.
Circumstances of the Crime
According to initial reports, the crime occurred over trivial matters during a fit of rage. The caregiver allegedly started by punching the elderly man and then used a blunt object to continue the assault.
Legal Consequences
After confessing to the murder, the man was transferred to the prison in Lecce, where he will await trial.
