The arrested are accused of being part of a criminal association focused on drug trafficking, aggravated by the use of weapons, extortion, and violence.

- 2020 investigation: Initiated after a group member’s arrest and subsequent cooperation. Evidence was collected through Encrochat, a secure system decrypted with French assistance.
- 2021 investigation: Sparked by a series of bomb attacks in Fondi.
- 2024 investigation: Launched after a 2023 extortion case.
An organized drug trafficking network
Authorities uncovered a solid criminal structure with its operational base in Fondi, branching into Latina, Terracina, and Nettuno. The suspects held specific roles, from leaders to participants, ensuring a stable supply of drugs such as hashish, marijuana, and cocaine.
