Bankruptcy and asset seizures in Lodi
The Guardia di Finanza in Lodi has carried out a significant seizure following investigations into a bankrupt agricultural company operating in the southern Lodi area. The inquiry, led by officers from Casalpusterlengo under the direction of the Public Prosecutor’s Office of Lodi, revealed unlawful management by the administrators. Among the suspicious operations, the underpriced sale of over 60 agricultural vehicles to a company linked to the family of one of the historic shareholders stands out.
Fraudulent public funding halted
Investigations into financial flows also uncovered a fraudulent public grant request. The funding, intended to support internationalization projects for Italian companies targeting non-EU markets, was partially allocated for the creation of a joint venture in Albania. Thanks to timely intervention, the contribution was blocked.
Seized assets: figures and details
The judicial order led to the seizure of assets misappropriated from the bankruptcy proceedings, totaling 225,000 euros, along with:
- 130,000 euros in company shares;
- a property, a mechanical workshop, and a plot of land;
- 20 agricultural vehicles, including tractors, harvesters, and seeders.
