The Financial Police of Olbia, assisted by the Tempio Pausania unit, have executed an order imposing professional ban measures on an entrepreneur and seizing real estate assets worth approximately 2 million euros. The ruling, issued by the Judge for Preliminary Investigations (GIP) at the request of the Public Prosecutor’s Office in Tempio Pausania, is part of an ongoing investigation into bankruptcy fraud by misappropriation, involving a company operating in the auto parts industry.
Investigators discovered that the accountant had acquired properties from a partner of a now-bankrupt company at a significantly lower market price. Furthermore, the transaction was found to be simulated, as the bankrupt partner remained in possession of the properties without receiving any actual payment.
The imposed bans prevent the entrepreneur from holding managerial positions in businesses and from practicing as an accountant. Meanwhile, the preventive seizure targeted assets linked to these questionable financial operations.
The inquiry, overseen by a magistrate specialized in financial crimes, aims to protect the creditors of the bankrupt company, who were left without financial guarantees due to fraudulent management. This operation aligns with broader efforts to combat economic and financial crimes, ensuring the recovery of creditors’ lost funds.
According to the Public Prosecutor’s Office, the disclosure of these details complies with Legislative Decree No. 188/2021, as there is a public interest in financial crime cases. However, authorities emphasize that these measures are precautionary, and the presumption of innocence remains until a final judicial ruling.
