An important operation by the Mezzano Carabinieri led to the discovery of a residence turned into a hub for drug trafficking. During a targeted inspection, officers found various types of drugs already divided into doses ready for sale, packaging materials, a precision scale, and 900 euros in cash, believed to be the proceeds of illegal activity.
The investigation, developed thanks to thorough territorial knowledge and continuous monitoring of suspects, focused on a 25-year-old living in the city center. After gathering sufficient evidence, the police raided his home. The search confirmed the suspicions, leading to the seizure of incriminating items.
Additionally, the man was found in possession of illegal fireworks known as “cipolle.” Under the direction of the public prosecutor of Ravenna, the young man was placed under house arrest pending a summary trial.
The case remains under investigation, and under the principle of presumption of innocence, the suspect’s guilt will only be confirmed if an irrevocable conviction is reached.
