The agreement for a more inclusive welfare system
On Monday, May 19th 2025, the Municipality of Bari, ASL Bari, and the Diocesan Caritas Bari-Bitonto, together with the Caritas Foundation ETS, signed a three-year Memorandum of Understanding aimed at creating integrated social and health care pathways for the homeless and socially marginalized people.
Sicar Hub: welcoming the most fragile
During the press conference, the new support desk Sicar Hub was also presented. It offers psychological, social and health assistance to those living in marginality. It operates from March to December 2025 and is managed by Caritas and Associazione Micaela Onlus.
Public health commitment
ASL Bari will provide professionals from mental health and addiction departments, ensuring comprehensive care. The project is supported by the Red Cross, Policlinico di Bari, and the Emporio della Salute.
