This Christmas, Barletta hosts a unique celebration of solidarity, inclusion, and hope through the “Solidarity Christmas Letters” initiative. Promoted by the Tatò Paride Foundation for Italy in collaboration with Work-Aut, a social cooperative, and Coop Master Coop Alleanza 3.0, this event transforms holiday traditions into a meaningful gesture.
The magic of writing to Santa
On Friday, December 13, children will have the chance to drop their letters to Santa under the Christmas tree in Corso Vittorio Emanuele II. These letters, however, won’t be about material gifts; instead, they’ll express hopes for a more inclusive and sustainable world.
The special touch comes from the young members of Work-Aut, who will seal and number each letter and assign a progressive number to the children. Acting as a jury, they will carefully select the 10 most inspiring letters, showcasing their abilities and talent.
A festive award ceremony
On Wednesday, December 18, families will gather at the Coop supermarket on via Sant’Antonio to discover the winners. The 10 selected children will be awarded board games, a symbol of inclusion and socialization, generously provided by the Tatò Paride Foundation. All participants will receive colorful balloons to spread holiday cheer and gratitude.
A step toward inclusion
This initiative highlights the ongoing commitment of the Tatò Paride Foundation to creating a more inclusive society. Established in 2020, the foundation has been actively supporting projects for individuals in vulnerable situations. By collaborating with Work-Aut, which provides job opportunities for autistic youth at Coop Master Coop Alleanza 3.0 stores, the foundation showcases the potential and contributions of these individuals.
Through this initiative, Work-Aut participants not only demonstrate their capabilities but also take on a central role in the community, proving that inclusion benefits everyone.
