The earthquake recorded today in Campania affected the Campi Flegrei area, 5 km east of Pozzuoli (Naples)
The seismic event was recorded by the seismographs of the National Institute of Geophysics and Volcanology this morning Thursday 18 July 2024 at 08:08:37 Italian time with magnitude 3.6 on the Richter scale.
Earthquake hypocenter
According to what we learn from the INGV website, the earthquake had a depth (hypocentre) of 2 km.
Epicenter of the earthquake
The epicenter of the earthquake was identified at coordinates 40.8300 , 14.1470 less than ten kilometers from the municipalities of Pozzuoli, Calvizzano, Quarto, Bacoli, Marano di Napoli, Monte di Procida and Naples.
Damage
There is a lot of fear but no damage to people or things has been reported.
