The State Police, in coordination with the Public Prosecutor’s Office at the Court of Ancona, arrested a 25-year-old man from Ancona for drug possession intended for sale. The operation, carried out by the Mobile Squad of the local Police Headquarters, took place early on Friday, December 6, during a search of the suspect’s residence.
Details of the operation
Upon entering the young man’s residence, officers found hashish and marijuana in his room. Despite the suspect’s attempt to dispose of some of the drugs by throwing them out the window, the police managed to seize a total of 192.11 grams of hashish and 35.24 grams of marijuana. Both substances were placed under criminal seizure.
Judicial measures
Given the severity of the evidence, the 25-year-old was arrested and placed under house arrest. This morning, the arrest was validated by the Court, confirming the precautionary measure. However, the suspect remains presumed innocent until a definitive sentence, with the possibility of appealing the decision.
